Dr Dan W. Joyce

Dr Dan W. Joyce splits his time between clinical work in the NHS and the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford where he works on problems in modelling clinical state and trajectories with the intent of using these methods to better understand how treatments can be targeted to, or made more effective for, individuals. This work draws on principles from computation, multivariate statistics and artificial intelligence / machine learning.

Each month, Dan also co-authors the Kaleidoscope column with Sukhi Shergill, Derek Tracy, and Dawn Albertson in The British Journal of Psychiatry (BJPsych). The column covers developments in mental health and neuroscience from around the world which you can read for free here: Kaleidoscope column
