Eamon Wilkinson
Eamon is a PhD student at the University of Kent researching the use of AI-driven virtual patients to enhance education in mental health. His work focuses on building an efficient platform that integrates a chatbot with a lifelike avatar capable of simulating psychiatric presentations, ensuring the system operates safely and responsibly, and designing automated feedback mechanisms that analyse learner responses and provide guidance. Before starting his PhD, he worked as a full-stack software developer, where he developed practical experience in building scalable, user-focused systems. He is passionate about applying technical innovation to support more empathetic, accessible, and effective learning experiences in mental health education.
