Borja Martinez-Gonzalez

Borja holds degrees from the University of Leon, Spain (BSc and MSc in Sport Science and Physical Education), and the University of Kent, United Kingdom (MSc in Sport Science for Optimal Performance and PhD in Sport and Exercise Sciences). His PhD focused on sleep deprivation and ultra-endurance performance. 

His previous work as a Research Associate at the University of Kent and the University of Bologna, Italy, includes a Ministry of Defence-funded project developing and testing physical activity and cognitive tasks with the Royal Air Force and the Royal Engineers to improve soldiers’ resistance to fatigue and multi-tasking performance, as well as projects funded by ASICS and SCARPA investigating the effects of carbon-plate shoes on energy cost and performance.
